When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.

Those who control their tongue will have a long life. Opening your mouth can ruin everything. Proverbs 13:3.

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen. It gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1.

“And now, in my old age, do not set me aside. Do not abandon me when my strength is failing.” Psalm 71.9.

“Everyone is to examine himself, and, only then eat from the bread, and drink from the cup, because a person who eats and drinks without recognising the body is eating and drinking his own condemnation.” 1 Cor 11:28-29.

As a sacrifice, the Eucharist is also offered in reparation for the sins of the living and the dead, and to obtain spiritual or temporal benefits from God. (CCC 1414.)

Abraham named the place Yahweh-Yireh (which means “The Lord will provide”). To this day, people still use that name as a proverb. “On the mountain of the Lord, it will be provided.” Genesis 22:14.
