1. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

The Mass is the sacrifice of Jesus for us on the cross.

This is My Body

Which will be given up for you.

This is the Chalice of my blood.

Which will be poured out for you and for many

For the forgiveness of sins.

As sacrifice, the Eucharist is offered in reparation for sins of the living and the dead, and to obtain spiritual or temporal benefits from God.

Prayer before Mass.

Eternal Father

I offer you

The Body and Blood

Soul and Divinity

Of your dearly beloved son

Our Lord Jesus Christ.

In atonement for my sins and (Intentions)

2. Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb.

“I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His Blood, you cannot have Eternal Life within you.” (John 6:53)

Take this, all of you, and eat of it

For this is my body,

Which will be given up for you.

Take this, all of you, and drink from it,

For this is the chalice of my blood,

Which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

May the receiving of your body and blood,

Lord Jesus Christ

Not bring me to judgement and condemnation

But through your loving mercy

Be for me protection in mind and body

And a healing remedy.

Prayer after Holy Communion.

Lord Jesus Christ

You are my Lord and My God.

Thank You

For your body and blood.

May your body nourish and keep me healthy and strong in mind and body. May your blood flow through out my body to heal and restore me in mind and body.

As I eat your body and drink your blood fill me with your Holy Spirit.

To empower me to prosper and succeed in all I do.

Jesus, I trust in you.
