Relics

Relics include the bodily remains of such persons (For example: bones or teeth) as well as objects that once belonged to them or which they touched (For example, clothing).

Veneration of relics has been part of catholic tradition since the early days of the church.

Its origins probably lie in the ancient practice celebrating the Eucharist on the tombs of martyrs.

Relics were and still are often kept in magnificent containers called reliquaries.

Today, a relic must be certified as authentic by a church authority, and relics may not be bought or sold for money.

Relics are venerated and honored, but only God is worshiped.

God gave Paul the power to perform unusual miracles.

When handkerchiefs or aprons that had merely touched His skin were placed on sick people, they were healed of their diseases, and evil Spirits were expelled. Acts 19:11-12.
