Easter Sunday

“He is not here! He is Risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid His body.” (Mark 16:6)

“The angel said, “Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is not here! He is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid His body. Now go and tell His disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see Him there, just as He told you before He died.” (Mark 16:6-7)

The angel told the disciples to meet Jesus in Galilee. “Just as He told you.” (Mark 14:28). This is where Jesus had called most of them.” Jesus called out to them. “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” and they left their nets at once and follow Him.” (Mark 1:17)

For 3 years the disciples were with Jesus on hand learning how to fish people. Beginning in Galilee (Mark 1:39). As Jesus travelled through towns and villages preaching, healing the sick with various diseases and casting many demons.

Return visit to Galilee will remind the disciples of their calls and the wonderful exciting times with Jesus. Accompanying Jesus, on hand learning how to fish people, as Jesus travels through towns and villages teaching, healing and casting demons. This memory refreshes and strengthens the hope and trust of the disciples in Jesus.

Today, with a thankful heart, be grateful for every good thing, no matter how big or how small, that the Lord Jesus has done in your life. As you begin to remember the good things the Lord Jesus has done in your past and realize the blessings you have in the present, you cannot help getting excited about what He is going to do in your future.

Be thankful and be ready, the Lord Jesus Christ has something amazing in store for your life!

“I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead. (Philippians 3:10).
